Slide Page versus Squeeze Page

Last week we discussed ‘What is a Squeeze Page?’ and maybe this feels like too strong of a marketing approach to you. There is another option and it’s called a Slide Page.

What is a Slide Page?

Instead of giving people only one option on your squeeze page you include a link where they can choose not to enter their name and email and still enter your website.

Here is an example:

You’ll see both very much direct site visitors to enter their name and email in exchange for something. However, the both also offer a subtle way to bypass the offer and simply enter the website.

I utilize both squeeze pages and slide pages in my businesses and both are effective. How do I know they are effective? I monitor the conversion rates regularly and make tweaks to the pages as needed to increase conversion rates. You can do this too.

How to Add a Slide Page

Typically a slide page becomes the home page for your website. This is how both examples above are set up. You landing on the main website url – https://detailprojectmanagement.com/7steps/ – and then can choose to enter the entire website, which may be a link to https://detailprojectmanagement.com/blog/.

While my squeeze page example from last week had it’s own dedicated url – http://lowercholesterolwithlisa.com – it actually redirected to a subpage of my main website – http://lisanelsonrd.com/howtolowercholesterol.
